Telltale Games is no stranger to the graphical adventure genre and it’s take on the Back to the Future series will please both fans of the genre and the popular movie series. Taking place several months after the films you’ll get to continue the time travel adventures of Marty McFly and Doc Brown.


With a special appearance from Michael J. Fox himself and all your favourite actors returning to voice their characters this is a game that chimes with high quality in every corner. Players will find the this quality also extends to the graphics of the game which offer the unique art style that you’ve grown to love in the other graphic adventures from Telltale.

Split into 5 different episodes you’ll slowly progress through the interesting plot that has you stepping into the shoes of Marty McFly as he discovers the DeLorean time machine which a recording from Doc detailing that the car would return to him if he was ever in trouble.

After travelling through time and following clues you’ll find that none other than Irving Tannen (the father of Biff) is behind the capture of Doc. From here it becomes a struggle as the players try to free Doc without disrupting the timeline.


Gameplay in Back to the Future: The Game is entirely played from a third person perspective. Moving Marty around the 3D environments using a point and click interface you’ll be able to talk to the various NPCs, explore conversation trees, solve puzzles, examine objects and more. Inventory plays an important role in the game like many other graphical adventures as you collect items for use later in your adventure.

Telltale Games is one of the kings in this genre for a reason and what it offers in Back to the Future: The Game is no exception.
