Mount & Blade: Warband is the second game in the series of action role playing games that blend strategic elements published by Paradox Interactive. The game adds improved graphics, multiplayer and an extra faction for players to experience along with some other minor improvements.
Mount & Blade: Warband takes place in a medieval setting so players can expect the weapons and combat to reflect the weapons of the day with bows, swords and shields making up the majority of combat. At the start of the game players are given plenty of choice regarding the direction they want to take in the game by choosing their faction and character attributes.
From here players explore the game world using an over world type interface where they can direct their movements using a point and click style. Travelling to other locations can engage players in combat, politics, or quests. All of these aspects provide more experience to the player which allows them to increase their own skills, stats and proficiencies.
Combat can come in a variety of forms in Mount & Blade: Warband with players able to fight enemies in open world environments, siege battles and even in towns.
The new multiplayer mode is completely different to the core gameplay and only focuses on the combat side of things with support for over 200 players the matches can get pretty hectic.
Mount & Blade: Warband has plenty of improvements over the original game and since the core gameplay is essentially the same players that have yet to experience a Mount & Blade game should jump right into this one rather than trying the original.
- Same Mount & Blade gameplay with plenty of important improvements.
- New multiplayer game mode supports hundreds of players.
- Unique blend of strategy, RPG and action.
- Grow your character and approach the game the way you want.
- Plenty of combat variety.
