The Sims Castaway Stories
(User scores are recalculated daily)
The Sims Castaway Stories is the third game in the laptop optimised series of games known as The Sims Stories. The game is one of the more unique games in the series and has proved to be one of the most popular because of that fact.
Just like its predecessors players have the option of a story focused game mode or a sandbox mode depending on the preferred style of play. Instead of two reasonably short stories though The Sims Castaway features one much longer adventure.
In the story mode players can choose to play as one of the premade characters or create their own Sim in their image. This Sim then boards a luxury cruise ship known as the Solomon Queen that is filled with singles. On its journey the ship crashes and you eventually drift onto an island with other survivors.
From here the story centres on the player surviving in the new harsh environment and solving mysteries of the island all while hoping for a rescue.
Since the game takes place on a deserted island everything that the players build must be made with materials collected around the island which adds another gameplay element. It’s definitely recommended to begin with the story mode since it introduces players to the many new game mechanics and also unlocks content for the free sandbox mode.
The Sims Castaway Stories is definitely the pick from the The Sims Stories series mostly due to its unique gameplay compared to the other games in the series. Best of all Castaway Stories manages to do this with low system requirements making it accessible to players with all sorts of hardware.
