Super Monday Night Combat (SMNC) is a free to play MOBA game that utilises a third person shooter perspective. The game is one of the few MOBA shooters and has proven very successful amongst gamers.

Super Monday Night Combat plays out like your standard MOBA experience with players being placed on one of the two teams (the Hotshots or the Iceman) and then choosing their own character each with unique skills, known as a Pro.

The ultimate objective for your team as expected in a MOBA game is the destruction of the opposing team’s base known as the Moneyball. As the game progresses you’ll earn experience and gold for killing other players or the game bots to advance your character.

SMNC offers two separate game modes that support 10 players (Super Crossfire or Turbocross) and 5 players (Super Blitz). Turbocross aims to replicate the gameplay of the original Monday Night Combat while Super Blitz takes a different direction to offer a survival game mode, something that is unique to SMNC.

In this survival mode players will team up with friends or other players and tackle wave after wave of bots while being taunted by the game announcer (GG Stack). Every 10 rounds players are given a break to bolster their defences and play a handful of mini-games to prepare themselves for further bot onslaught. This game mode can continue indefinitely until players fail a wave with players comparing their best wave scores on a regular basis.

Updates are a regular occurrence in Super Monday Night Combat just like in most of the big games of the genre and play an important role in the longevity of the game. These updates are focused on character and gameplay tweaks to ensure that the game is always as balanced as possible.

If you love your shooters and want a new multiplayer online battle arena experience then the free to play Super Monday Night Combat should be at the top of your list.

  • Combines third person shooter with the MOBA genre.
  • Option to play solo or with friends.
  • Survival game mode not available in other MOBAs.
  • Unique game setting that isn’t fantasy focused like competitors.
  • Regular updates and good community size.
