Swordsman Online delivers an impressive martial arts orientated experience which emphasises fast paced gameplay with impressive character customisation. For fans of Chinese culture this is a high quality experience that can not be missed.
The story itself is based on the popular novel, The Smiling, Proud Wanderer which comes from the best selling Chinese writer, Louis Cha. As you step into this story you’ll be playing as the lone wandering hero as they quest to avenge their village and master one of the ten martial art schools.
Using a fresh engine the game has good ragdoll physics and crisp animations which really brings these martial art schools to life as your punches, kicks and skills feel powerful and responsive.
This school is chosen at level 5 with 2 gender restricted and serves as the class system of the game. These of course come with their own skills, elements and strengths. To further this customisation each school has alternative fighting styles to offer good variety. Regardless of which one you choose though you’re guaranteed flashy skills and an experience you haven’t had before.
A martial arts MMO wouldn’t be complete without action combat which means you’ll have complete control over how you deal damage. This goes hand in hand with the combo system which at later levels which you combine your favourite moves together for greater control and precision.
Dynamic weather, guilds, plenty of PvP options and a huge world that feels very open and realistic are just the icing on the cake for this martial arts or the new wave of action orientated massively multiplayer online role playing games.
Swordsman Online is the sort of game where you’ll never feel pressured to open up your wallet to make progress. You’ll be treated to stunning and flashy skills with a huge array of variety.
