Alchemy is the most important Idleon skill with bubbles, vials and sigils that boost every element of gameplay dramatically. If you’re lacking damage, resource gain or other game progression there is a solution in the World 2 cauldron. This alchemy guide includes a Prisma bubble tier list for advanced Idleon players alongside alchemy basics, tips and overall bubbles to focus on for beginners.

Alchemy Prisma Bubbles Tier List
These are the best Prisma Bubbles and as they are limited should be spent carefully for maximum utility. I recommend the below tier list order with some considerations noted based on your account specifics or progress:
| Bubble (Tier Rating) | Effect | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Chance to upgrade alchemy bubbles twice | Double this bubble to power up all future alchemy bubble levels. This will turn every resource or atom level into +3 or +4 to multiply your alchemy gains rapidly. | |
| +% Gallery Bonus Multi | A key boost to World 7 gallery as there are many strong nametags and trophies. | |
| Multiples orange passive bubbles | Improves the effect of orange bubbles for a great return on Prisma investment. Prioritise Warrior and Mage first as this will help boost your key samples (ores and logs) for atom generation. | |
| Multiples purple passive bubbles | As noted above. | |
| Increases bonus of particular orange bubbles | Similar to Warriors Rule above this improves several key bubbles particularly for increased resource sample sizes. | |
| Increases bonus of particular purple bubbles | As noted above. | |
| Faster meal and fire kitchen speeds for every meal at level 11+ | Significantly reduces the time taken to level meals, this is more powerful for newer accounts while established accounts will be relying on No Meal Left Behind to increase meal level instead. | |
| +% Build Speed per Construction level | This bubble is a key source of build speed in World 3 Construction and will notably reduce the time needed for buildings, towers and shrines which can be a massive time block otherwise. | |
| +% Extra Tachyons for Arcane Cultist | The Arcane Cultist is the hardest masterclass to push currently so this will reduce the time required. | |
| Statue EXP bar resets to above 0 after level up | Reducing the amount of statues needed for each level can save hundreds of thousands of statues. This can either reduce the time needed to farm statue levels or reach even higher statue levels that have a range of important account boosts. | |
| Multiples green passive bubbles | As noted above a useful broad boost but lower priority than Warrior and Mage equivalent bubbles. | |
| Increases bonus of particular green bubbles | As noted above a useful broad boost but lower priority than Warrior and Mage equivalent bubbles. | |
| +% More Kattlekruk bubbles per day | Primarily for the faster main stat bubble boosts but there are many bubbles boosted by this mechanic when unlocked. The stat bubbles are not linear after 50k so the effectiveness reduces after this point. | |
| +% Gold Food effect | Gold food has many useful boosts including AFK and drop rate. This increase is small though compared to the World 4 meal when ribboned. | |
| +% Multi Page chance (works AFK) | Increases Spelunking efficiency to farm scrolls faster for stamps, vials or spelunking lore page gains. | |
| +% Spelunking Efficiency | As noted above. | |
| +0 Base STR per 100 items found, shown on The Slab! | At high Slab item levels this is a notable base STR boost which is then multiplied by % modifiers. This is a useful prisma for Divine Knight money farming (Penny of Strength) or Blood Berserker Green Mushroom farming (Charred Skulls). | |
| +% STR for every 2000 Tome Completion Points over 5000. | As noted above this does rely on a strong foundation of tome points. | |
| +% Extra Dust for Wind Walker | The Wind Walker isn’t as difficult to push compared to the Arcane Cultist but still has powerful account bonuses to progress. | |
| +% Extra Bones for Death Bringer | The easiest masterclass this is the lowest priority bubble of this type but does still help push the Death Bringer faster and reach higher levels on the powerful account boosts. | |
| + Total STR | In late game Idleon the total stat bubbles can be pushed to high levels (10,000+). These can provide huge amount of stat once you reach this point although before this is not worthwhile. | |
| + Total WIS | As noted above. | |
| + Total AGI | As noted above. | |
| Pickaxes and fishing rods give more skilling power | Boosts skilling tool power which has limited sources to empower your 3D printer samples further. | |
| Hachets and worship skulls give more skilling power | As noted above. | |
| +% Mining efficiency per power 10 Max HP | Another notable alchemy bubble for large percentage boost to your 3D printer samples. | |
| +% Chopping efficiency per power 10 Max MP | As noted above. |
Alchemy Basics – Brewing, Liquid, Vials and Pay 2 Win
Alchemy has four different UI tabs that perform different functions:
- Brewing: The core page with four coloured cauldrons where resources and alchemy liquid are spent to level up bubbles for account wide boosts. Characters can be assigned to these cauldrons to improve several cauldron specific stats.
- Liquid: Generates liquid from four cauldrons that can be assigned characters to generate liquid faster. Also includes an alchemy liquid shop with different items.
- Vials: Vials are unlocked by dropping specific resources on the World 2 cauldron for passive boosts and upgraded by depositing thousands, millions and eventually a billion of each resource to increase the bonus.
- Pay 2 Win: Spend money to improve the speed of various alchemy mechanics. This tab also has Sigils where you can assign characters to unlock account bonuses based on time spent.
Alchemy Basics – Brewing Tips
Brewing is the heart of alchemy where new bubbles are unlocked. Each coloured cauldron has a brewing currency that is earned by having players assigned to that colour cauldron (maximum two characters per cauldron by default). When your first unlock alchemy in World 2 make sure all of your current characters (and future characters) open the alchemy UI in town at least once to start earning alchemy experience.

- Speed: Generates cauldron brew currency faster
- Luck: Extra chance to unlock new bubbles
- Cost: Reduces cost to upgrade bubbles
- 2X Extra: Chance for double brew boost levels
I recommend focusing on speed and 2X chance initially as this makes future cauldron upgrades quicker while luck and cost are important later in alchemy progression.
Unlock New Bubbles: The best way to unlock bubbles is to use the Shaman class with Bubble Breakthrough talent. Unlock new bubbles to match your current world progression, if you unlock a new bubble but do not recognise the resource it uses it is probably for the next world. Once you reach this point focus on unlocking bubbles for other cauldrons, liquid generation or upgrading the above cauldron boosts instead.
Small and Large Bubbles: Most bubbles are small passive bubbles that are always active although there are several larger bubbles that must be equipped on specific characters to take effect. Characters start with one slot initially with a second available from the World 1 stamp NPC bribes and the last one from World 4 Breeding by defeating round 100. The Sheepie Companion makes large bubbles passive so they are active all the time although Big P in the Yellow Cauldron is bugged so it should still be manually equipped.
Cheaper Bubbles With Each Class: From World 3 players will have the resources to upgrade Orange, Green and Pruple Bargain bubbles that lower the cost of bubbles in that cauldron. As these bubbles are boosted by the second bubble in each cauldron there is an often overlooked bonus that lowers these costs even more when on the appropriate class. This means if you upgrade orange bubbles with your Warriors, green bubbles with Archers and purple bubbles with Mages players can save millions of resources while progressing alchemy. There is no boost to Yellow bubbles though as there is no second bubble multiplier in that cauldron.

No Bubble Left Behind: A useful mechanic that automatically increases the levels the lowest of your alchemy bubbles every day you login if they are above level 1. This is unlocked through the World 4 Laboratory, the limited event shop or by purchasing the Sacred Methods Pack from the Gem Shop and can be boosted by the Atom Collider (W3).
Atom levels (Boron): Available in World 3 through the Atom Collider this provides a daily budget to upgrade any bubble with atoms instead of the specific bubble resource if the cost is above 100M. This is critical to pushing the highest level of alchemy bubbles particularly for difficult to generate resources. To maximise Boron while levelling it spend any of your daily allocation before levelling Boron at the Atom Collider as this will also refresh the daily budget. Some later game alchemy bubbles that use unique skill resources cannot be levelled with Boron.
Prismatic Bubbles (Prisma): A prestige style mechanic purchased from the Limited Time Gem Shop or unlocked when your Shaman advances to the Arcane Cultist class that doubles the bonus of a particular bubble.
Alchemy Basics – Liquid Tips
The Liquid tab provides the fuel for alchemy with 4 different liquid types (Water Drops, Liquid N2, Trench H2O and Toxic Mercury) unlocked at alchemy level 1, 20, 35 and 80 respectively that are spent on bubbles, vials, the alchemy liquid shop or upgrading liquid cauldrons. These cauldrons generate liquid automatically and do not need characters assigned although they can be assigned to increase the generation rate.
Liquid Investment: I recommend investing liquid into rate initially as this is a significant bottleneck in World 2 and then increase the cap so it can keep up with your daily bubble upgrade needs from Boron. Like the Brewing tab Cranium Cooking plays a critical role here and combines with Liquidvestment from the World 3 Equinox Valley and Viaduct of the Gods from the World 4 Laboratory to alter the mechanics of liquid generation.
Alchemy Liquid Shop: For initial purchases I recommend the star book (Tick Tock) as soon as practical as this gives AFK gains and then focusing on Distilled Water or Dense Water as a large number are needed for World 2 and World 3 crafting. After this focus on Bargain Tag to level the hardest alchemy bubbles that use worship souls, trapping critters or refinery salt to get them over 100M cost for Boron levels. After these focus areas the shop is the only source of particular skilling obols and you can make daily gem/balloon purchases for extra progression.
Alchemy Basics – Vials Tips
Like many Idleon mechanics vials provide a small boost initially but grow in time as you max them and gain access to different multipliers. Try to unlock new vials daily as there is a daily limit to attempts and some vials are as low as a 1% chance to unlock. All vials are detailed here on the wiki.
Vial Upgrades: I recommend upgrading all vials when it is not a significant time investment to reach the next level as these increase Shaman damage for every green or higher vial and there is a World 4 mechanic in The Rift (Vial Mastery) that increases effects based on each maxed vial. Do not invest significant game time into vials early on as eventually acquiring the necessary skill resources or monster drops will take very little time as your account grows.
Unlock More Vial Chances: Vials chances and epic gamer moments (rerolls your chance if it fails) are purchased from the Pay 2 Win tab for money and can help increase the pace you unlock vials. By quickly dropping resources on the cauldron from your inventory players can even exceed their daily vial attempts as each roll takes time for the animation to complete.
Alchemy Basics – Pay 2 Win / Sigil Tips
The Pay 2 Win tab is a place to spend money for various alchemy increases and I recommend purchasing upgrades when they are relatively cheap as money is better spent on the Upgrade Vault for overall account progress initially. Focus your purchases on either colour cauldrons, liquid cauldrons or vials based on where you currently feel stuck as you will max them all eventually.
Sigils are unlocked from the World 4 Laboratory for various small account boosts and level up by assigning characters to research them. Sigils should only be your focus after maxing all coloured cauldrons and making a significant investment in your liquid cauldrons as these are significantly more useful than Sigil bonuses.
Best Alchemy Bubbles To Focus
All alchemy bubbles contribute something to your account so every bubble should be levelled. This also allows No Bubble Left Behind to increase the level of difficult bubbles as it targets the lowest level bubbles. However, there are particular bubbles that have a dramatic impact to damage, provide unique utility or empower your resource collection to help you level alchemy bubbles faster.
The majority of alchemy bubbles have a maximum bonus amount so levels beyond a point have no effect although some are linear so more levels are always stronger. The below are my recommended best alchemy bubbles to focus on and includes value thresholds to aim for (50%, 75%, 90%, 95% and 99%). Use this information to increase all important bubbles to 50%, then 75%, then 90% and so on to balance your alchemy progression efficiently and I recommend focusing on anything related to gaining materials (chopping, mining, fishing or catching) first as this makes future alchemy progress easier.
