This Idleon World 4 Breeding guide recommends the best spice setup, breeding teams (arena/territories/tome) and shiny pet tier list to maximise progression in this skill. Breeding progress is important as spices are a key factor in unlocking new powerful cooking meals, upgrading kitchens and unlocking arena bonuses.

Best Spice Setup
The ideal spice setup maximises spices earned from each breeding territory and changes slightly as new pets are unlocked and your Blooming Axe level increases as this reduces the need for fighter pets in spice farming.
Early Game Setup (Miasma/Wode Board)
This initial breeding setup requires up to Wode Board from World 1 pets. For the brief time prior to this use Forager or Fleeter to fill in the gaps as these are highly effective foragers adding Fighter or Mercenary as needed to reach the damage threshold.
This setup uses Baby Boa, Wode Board, Squirrel and Bored Bean to maximise the Targeter 5x buff if the pet above it is also a Targeter. Add Fighter (Green/Red Mushroom) or Mercenary (Carrotman) as needed by replacing the Forager.
| Spice Territory | Genetic Setup | Example Pet Setup |

Mid Game Setup (Badumdum/Whale)
Once players progress to World 2 pets and unlock Whale target farm Beach Docks Spice as this is used in the important Diamond Chef alchemy bubble. I recommend also temporarily targeting other spices to boost your kitchens as the speed difference from whale boosts is significant.
This setup places Whales above (Desert Oasis) and below (Coarse Mountains) to double buff the Beach Docks territory but otherwise stays unchanged from the early game setup. If you have unlocked W2 Poop or W4 Purple Mushroom your fighter can use the Tsar genetic instead if required.

Late Game Setup (Borger/Converter/Alchemic)
After you’ve farmed enough Beach Docks spices to push your Diamond Chef into atom upgrade range the final phase of spice farming relies on Borger (Nutto/Flying Worm/Cool Bird/Stilted Seeker), Converter (Bop Box/Panda) and Alchemic (Bloque).
This setup uses the large 10x Borger boost when a Forager is in the territory above, Converters chance for free spices and Alchemic double chance. If you still need fighter power replace the Converters then Miasma with Tsar or if you don’t need any fighting power your last spice territory can use a Flashy (Bunny/Donut/Gelatinous Cube) instead of a Forager as there is no territory below it.
Alchemic is only placed in the first spice territories as the low fill requirements means it has higher expected spice output compared to Borger but as the spice territory fill requirements increase Borger is more effective.

*If you have enough Fight Power otherwise use Tsar (Poop/Purp Mushroom/Biggole Wurm) instead of Flashy
Breeding Battle Teams
These breeding teams are split between the arena, spice territories and Tome challenge as each has different requirements. Focus on high pet power on your tank pet (Borger) and any damage dealing pets in the setup. Generally pushing battles is limited by pet power or access to pet genetic types so focus on these areas to achieve the below setups.
Best Arena Setup
The arena goal is to reach wave 200 as this is the final account bonus with certain key round milestones being round 15 (4th battle slot), 50 (5th battle slot), round 100 (extra alchemy large bubble) and round 125 (6th battle slot). Use each combat setup based on your available slots unlocked, these setups are all auto friendly provided you have high enough pet powers.

| 4 Slot | ||

Best Spice Territory Battle Setup
The pet battles for new territory spaces are important as these determine the cooking meals you can unlock, alchemy bubble upgrades and kitchen upgrades. These territory battles require careful timing of the Shield genetic to protect your pets while you build up Rattler stacks from the Monolith slow down effect. It is normal to have to reset the later battles many times although higher pet power for the Rattler does reduce the luck involved with a faster time to defeat.

| 4 Slot | ||

| 6 Slot |
Best Tome Challenge Setup
There is a tome challenge for the fastest time reaching Round 100 Arena (in Seconds) which uses this end game 6 slot setup and high pet power to get under 50 seconds. This setup does rely on luck from Looter genetic so try multiple times using the Beast Master talent Arena Spirit and repeat these attempts as your pet power grows. If you lack the combat slots or genetics for this setup use the standard arena options featured above instead.

Shiny Pet Tier List
After unlocking all pets the breeding fenceyard is no longer needed for breedability levels so is used for shiny pets that provide other account buffs. Shiny pet levels are slow initially but can be increased with World 6 farming crops, World 6 summoning bonus and the World 5 Lamp in the Caverns. Actively playing the Beast Master also reduces time as the Whale Wallop talent when empowered by the Voidwalker Enhancement Eclipse (level 150) adds fenceyard time.
The max level of shiny pets is currently level 20 and the below table is my recommended shiny pet priority order. As the later levels require significantly more time I recommend balancing S and A tier initially as follows:
- Increase S tier pets to level 15
- Increase A tier pets to level 10
- Increase B tier pets to level 5
- Increase S tier pets to level 20
- Increase all other pet tier to level 20 in tier order
| Pet Bonus (Tier) | Pets | Note |

| +% Summoning EXP Gain (B) | Summoning skill level boosts essence gain and star sign effectiveness with not many sources available. | |

| Tab 3 Talent Pts (D) | As above | |
| Star Talent Pts (D) | Helps max star talents | |
| Tab 2 Talent Pts (D) | Tab 2 is a low priority for talent points | |
| Tab 1 Talent Pts (D) | As above | |
| +% Line Width in Lab (D) | By the time players are focused on shiny levels you will not need extra line width for the lab as the main source of this is character lab levels. |
