Meal Ribbon Priority (Tier List)

Ribbons are a major account boost from the Death Bringer Grimoire which are added in limited quantities at daily reset and once placed on a meal are permanent. Ribbons can be rank 1 to rank 20 which increases the meal multiplier effect and can be merged either in the ribbon shelf or by placing the same ribbon on a meal. Every 5 ribbon ranks (5, 10, 15 and 20) are a noticeable boost to multiplier so these levels are particularly powerful to target where possible.

This ribbon tier list can also be used to prioritise general meal levels although levelling all meals is still important as there are various meal cooking boosts that scale with meal levels (Diamond Chief bubble, Atom Collider Fluoride and Voidwalker Blood Marrow). It is also an effective priority for Cooking Mastery points unlocked from The Rift but these should be reset based on your specific goal to either cooking speed (Cabbage/Burned Marshmallow), skilling (Whipped Cocoa/Riceball/Corn), general gameplay (Yumi Preachring) or other meal specific activities and account priorities.

With so many meals available consider your own account needs and objectives as this will slightly alter your specific priorities. All meals, ribbons and applicable sources are available on the Idleon wiki page.

Meal (Effect) Tier Rating Notes
Yumi_PeachringYumi Peachring (Golden Food Bonus) S+ The strongest meal in the game this is always a priority for levels and ribbons as golden food has many large account bonuses which can be turned passive with the World 6 Beanstalk.
36px-CookiesCookies (Total Spelunking POW) S Spelunking has various powerful bonuses from the bosses which this will help reach sooner. Beyond bosses POW is still useful for higher amber gains for boosts like drop rate, masterclass resources, daily alchemy bubbles and statue drops.
36px-WoahtermelonWoahtermelon (Cheaper Spelunking Upgrades) S As above this helps Spelunking progress.
36px-Singing_SeedSinging Seed (Amber gain from Spelunking) S As above this helps Spelunking progress.
Large_PohayohLarge Pohayoh (Summoning EXP) S Summoning levels are a large time gate with limited sources. Extra levels boost star sign power and summoning essence generation.
Sticky_BunSticky Bun (All Summoning Essence Gain) S Summoning has a large array of powerful boosts and an endless mechanic so this is always useful to push this skill further.
36px-CauliflowerCauliflower (Attack Speed) S A notable and rare source of attack speed for active gameplay (lower priority if you rarely active as AFK attack speed is capped at a lower level).
36px-Wrath_GrapesWraith Grapes (Divinity EXP) S World 5 Divinity levels are important to account progression and power so this increases the potential Divinity levels you can reach and reduces the initial time to unlock Divinity styles initially.
36px-Cotton_CandyCotton Candy (Divinity EXP) S As above.
36px-Whipped_CocoaWhipped Cocoa (Skill Efficiency) S The largest skill efficiency meal this is important for various skills and will improve your 3D printer samples for resources that can be invested in key mechanics like alchemy and stamps.
36px-PumpkinPumpkin (Liquid Cap for liquids 1 and 2) A Easier alchemy progress as you can store more of the key liquids. Particularly useful for your daily Boron upgrades and hourly bubble clicking.
36px-RiceballRiceball (Skill Efficiency) A Another skill efficiency boost although weaker than Whipped Cocoa.
36px-Fortune_CookieFortune Cookie (Faster Library Checkout Speed) A One of the largest boosts to library checkout speed to reduce the time taken to max character talents. As there are many mechanics that increase this max level as you progress through worlds so is consistently useful.
36px-Bunt_CakeBunt Cake (Cash from Monsters) A The largest cash meal this is useful for Upgrade Vault and other money focused game mechanics.
36px-Tempura_ShrimpTempura Shrimp (Spelunking EXP) A Improves Spelunking progress as there are several mechanics that scale with character level such as stamina.
36px-CornCorn (Skill Efficiency) A The last available skill efficiency boost meal.
36px-CabbageCabbage (Cooking Spd per 10 Kitchen LVs) A The most notable cooking speed meal this is a higher priority during early cooking progress when you are still levelling meals but lower priority if you are at max level.
Burned_MarshmallowBurned Marshmallow (Meal Cooking Speed) A The second best cooking speed meal to unlock meal levels faster. I don’t recommend using ribbons on any other cooking speed meals as you will eventually reach a point where you need to rely on other sources to push meal levels.
36px-CannoliCannoli (Points earned in Tower Defence) B A unique source of this stat to push worship waves for soul resources or the various MSA boosts.
36px-PretzelPretzel (Lab EXP) B Reduces the time spent in the World 4 Laboratory and lets you push into higher skill levels to unlock powerful Pure jewels for free.
36px-Sausy_SausageSausy Sausage (Bits Gained in Gaming) B A solid boost to Gaming Bits that is particularly useful in early Gaming progres as eventually other sources will overtake the effectiveness of this.
36px-SaladSalad (Cash from Monsters) B Another useful boost to money gain.
36px-Giga_ChipGiga Chip (Research EXP Gains) B Improves the rate that the World 7 Research skill can level up but the boost from the meal is small compared to other sources.
36px-Wedding_Cake_22nd Wedding Cake (Minehead Mine currency gain) B A small boost to reduce the time taken to progress the Minehead mini game in World 7.
36px-Tasty_TreatTasty Treat (Polymer Refinery Speed) B There are limited sources to improve this refinery speed but the boost is small at 0.01% base per level so prioritise other account boosts first.
36px-Kiwi_FruitKiwi Fruit (Liquid Cap for liquids 3 and 4) B Similar to Pumpkin this is useful convenience when you start to push the higher tier alchemy bubbles that use the third and fourth liquid.
36px-SawdustSawdust (Lab EXP) C Further lab EXP which can also be combined with Garlicless Bread if you want faster lab levels.
NyanborgirNyanborgir (Crop Evolution Chance) C The largest source of crop evolution chance that can help farming progression and unlock a few extra evolutions alongside other sources.
36px-Bill_Jack_PepperBill Jack Pepper (Crop Evolution Chance) C As above.
36px-Head_Chef_BreadHead Chef Bread (Bits Gained in Gaming) C Similar to Sausy Sausage but a lower overall boost.
36px-RatatoueyRatatouey (Lower Kitchen Upgrade costs) C Helps level kitchens for an overall cooking boost to speed and new recipes faster.
