Idleon Gear / Armour Progression – Best Equipment Guide

Last Updated on July 25, 2026 by Samuel Franklin

This page details the best gear progression in Idleon to save time and resources in each game world. This equipment guide is split across early, mid and late game decisions for each armour slot and the best upgrade stones.

General Equipment Tips

Armour – Helmet, shirt, pants and shoes are an important account contributor but there are plenty of Idleon account gains available from different World mechanics so I recommend skipping most armour types. You should eventually make every armour set for the Equipment Set bonuses in World 3 but this approach saves resources initially and simplifies your Idleon goals.

Weapons & Tools – These have the largest impact on fighting and skilling gains and should always be upgraded to the best option available including best current upgrade stones.

Trophies & Nametags – There is a World 7 mechanic (Gallery) that makes all trophies and nametags shared on your characters so save any that you find until then. These items primarily come from achievements and events so equip whatever you have available with the best stats.

Capes – Capes are available from paid purchases, events or drop from the world bosses. Most of them are weak until later worlds so equip whatever options you have available.

Early Game Equipment

This is my recommended best equipment for the early game (approximately World 1 to World 3). Use upgrade stones on equipment and move equipment around so it optimises for a character accuracy stat (e.g. WIS for warrior accuracy). For information on skilling gear refer to our specific mining, chopping, fishing and catching guides.

Equipment Slot Item (Source) Notes
Helmet Gold Helmet (Anvil) The Amarok Helmet is expensive so skip it
Shirt Amarok_BodyplateAmarok Bodyplate (Anvil)
Pants Amarok_HindsAmarok Hinds (Anvil)
Shoes Amarok_PawsAmarok Paws (Anvil)
Pendant Sleek_ShankSleek Shank (Anvil) Gives weapon power to help progression. Can also use Carrot Horror, Tarantulight or Cedar Pendant for accuracy.
Rings Rex_RingRex Ring (Party Dungeon) Small amount of stat these can be later upgraded to Serrated Rex Ring for skilling. They are easy to obtain and efficient.
Cape Any Equip any paid/event capes you have.
Keychain Leafy_ChainAny (Party Dungeon) Equip any keychains you have from Party Dungeons focusing on stat or accuracy.
Upgrade Stone Armor_Upgrade_Stone_IIWeapon_Upgrade_Stone_IITool_Upgrade_Stone_IIArmor Upgrade Stone II (World 2 Shop) Wait until you reach World 2 to use upgrade stones on the above equipment as they are slightly stronger.

Mid Game Equipment

This is my recommended best equipment for the mid game (approximately World 4 to World 7). World 4 upgrade stones onwards will guarantee main stat but accuracy should no longer be an issue so use upgrade stones on the character that will wear the piece of equipment for better main stat to boost damage.

Equipment Slot Item (Source) Notes
Helmet Skulled_Helmet_of_the_DivineSkulled Helmet of the Divine (Anvil) Troll armour (helmet, shirt, pants and shoes) should be your first upgrade from Amarok and then can be upgraded to Magma and then Kattlekruk when possible.
Shirt Serrated_Chest_of_the_DivineSerrated Chest of the Divine (Anvil)
Pants Spiked_Leggings_of_the_DivineSpiked Leggings of the Divine (Anvil)
Shoes Devious_Slippers_of_the_DivineDevious Slippers of the Divine (Anvil)
Pendant The_Divine_ScarfThe Divine Scarf (Anvil) Use either the Chizoars Blankie or Chizoars Caustic Scarf before this. Don’t use any upgrade stones on this until World 7.
Rings Silver_StopwatchSilver Stopwatch (Quest) Easily obtained from a simple repeatable quest in World 1. Complete once per character.
Cape Cascading_Scaled_Cape_of_KriegCascading Scaled Cape of Krieg (Troll Boss)

Eternal_Flames_of_The_DivineEternal Flames of The Divine (Kattlekruk Boss)

These are the two best free to play capes to farm and combine with any paid/event capes available.
Keychain Negative_7_ChainAny (Party Dungeon) Equip any keychains you have from Party Dungeons focusing on AFK gain, mob respawn or main stat.
Upgrade Stone Armor_Upgrade_Stone_SKWeapon_Upgrade_Stone_SKTool_Upgrade_Stone_SKKattlekruk Upgrade Stones (Kattlekruk Boss) These are a notable jump in power level so worth waiting for, don’t use the helmet stones and use armour instead.

Late Game Equipment

This is my recommended best equipment for the late game (World 7 onwards). World 7 upgrade stones are an increase in power as they also increase misc bonuses on equipment so you should remake equipment you’ve previously upgraded if necessary. This also makes the Diabolical weapons and Kattlekruk Shirt/Pants surprisingly powerful in World 7 with the upgraded mob respawn.

Equipment Slot Item (Source) Notes
Helmet Prehistoric_BattlehairPrehistoric Battlehair (Anvil)
Shirt Prehistoric_ParkaPrehistoric Parka (Anvil) In end game progression crafting a new Serrated Chest of the Divine and adding World 7 stones can improve kills per hour due to the mob respawn.
Pants Prehistoric_PantaloonsPrehistoric Pantaloons (Anvil) In end game progression crafting a new Spiked Leggings of the Divine and adding World 7 stones can improve kills per hour due to the mob respawn.
Shoes Prehistoric_BracersPrehistoric Bracers (Anvil)
Pendant The_Divine_ScarfThe Divine Scarf (Anvil)
Rings Zero_Point_StopwatchZero Point Stopwatch (Quest/Anvil)

Demented_Emperor_OpalDemented Emperor Opal (Party Dungeon/Anvil)

You can craft up to 5 Zero Point Stopwatches with the remaining slots on characters filled with the Party Dungeon Opal ring.
Cape Cascading_Scaled_Cape_of_KriegCascading Scaled Cape of Krieg (Troll Boss)

Eternal_Flames_of_The_DivineEternal Flames of The Divine (Kattlekruk Boss)

These best capes are unchanged although the World 6 Boss cape adds some class EXP and drop rate for specific use cases.
Keychain Negative_7_ChainAny (Party Dungeon)

Spiritlord_Horn_ChainSpiritlord Horn Chain (Demented Spiritlord Miniboss)

Party Dungeons focused on AFK gain, mob respawn or stat. Alternatively farm keychains from the World 6 mini boss.
Upgrade Stone Armor_Upgrade_Stone_VIIWeapon_Upgrade_Stone_VIITool_Upgrade_Stone_VIIArmor Upgrade Stone VII (World 7 Shop) These are a notable jump in power level with the ability to buff misc slots on equipment.
