Farming is World 6 Idleon skill where plots of land grow crops in Spirit Valley for account wide boosts. With many options and distinct stages of farming progression this skill rewards patience and long term strategic planning. This page includes an Exotic Market tier list, Night Market priority, Land Ranks guide and tips for beginners to maximise account progress.

Exotic Market Tier List
The Exotic Market is a weekly resetting store unlocked from the fourth Spelunking boss with rotating bonuses for a specific crop trade. The number of trades are limited weekly but can be increased through World 7 Legend Talents, Event Shop and Research while also adding free trades that don’t consume crops. The Exotic Market has diminishing returns so spread your purchases in the following approximate tier list order split between farming boosts and non-farming boosts.
Farming Exotic Market Tier List
Focus on upgrades that empower the Exotic market, maximise Land Rank database bonuses and then improve your farming progression which can be tailored to your needs. Some upgrades like Stalk Value have different variants (I, II and III) with the higher number being stronger.

Night Market Priority
The Night Market has farming boosts for Magic Bean trades and similar to the Day Market you want a little bit of everything. A simple ruleset to follow is:
- Unlock Overgrowth and Land Rank when available
- Balance the bean cost of OG Fertilizer, Speed GMO and Evolution GMO
- Also balance Super GMO with the above upgrades once you can easily produce 100k crops
- Level EXP GMO and Value GMO when the Bean cost is around 10% of the other upgrades.
Note that that Value GMO (Crop Value Multi) is capped at 10,000 and can be viewed in the Skills Info UI for farming until you purchase Stalk Value Exotic market upgrades.
Land Rank Priority
Land Rank has a complicated priority as it will be based on your specific focus, land rank upgrades available and total land rank levels to spend. There are land rank optimisation tools in the guide section of the official Discord for those that want to ensure they have the best allocation at all times and even utilise the weekly reset to shift their focus.
The following is my recommended balanced setup for those that want a setup that is moderately effective after maxing the important fifth column non-farming buffs.
First reach your max Crop Value Multi (base is 10k) by placing points into Production buffs until it no longer increases, this should be done when you have the max possible crop types you can currently achieve then follow the break down below. For example if you then have 2,000 points left split these between 20% Soil EXP (400), 50% Overgrowth (1,000), 10% Farming EXP (200) and 20% Evolution (400) to balance these boosts as they have diminishing returns. The 1,000 Overgrowth points would be invested using a 1/2/4 ratio forOvergrowth Boost (142), Overgrowth Megaboost (284) and Overgrowth Superboost (574).
| Upgrade Type | Land Rank Points Balance | Ratio (Boost/Mega/Super/Ultra) |
|---|---|---|
Production |
As required to reach Crop Value Multi Cap | 1/0/1 |
Soil EXP |
20% | 3/1/2 |
Overgrowth |
50% | 1/2/4 |
Farming EXP |
10% | 1/1/2 |
Evolution |
20% | 1/1/1/1 |
Farming Tips
- Core Farming Loop: Push as many evolutions as possible as this unlocks account wide boosts from the Scientist Blobulyte and increases your unlocked Night Market boosts as many of these upgrades are based on your current evolutions if you reach a minimum crop amount. Once you can’t push any further crop evolutions (see the Idleon wiki for non-farming sources of crop evolution) then swap to pushing day market upgrades and eventually night market through a bean trade before resetting your farming to repeat the process.
- Day Market: The day market is where specific crops are traded for different farming boosts and slowly requires increasing crop numbers and harder evolution crops. Consider the time required between each upgrade and once it is longer than 24 hours you should move onto a different Day Market upgrade or the Night Market.
- Night Market: The Night Market uses Bean currency instead of crops which come from dropping a Crop Transfer Ticket purchased from the World 6 shop at the feet of Legumulyte at the Troll Broodnest map. This consumes all of the crops in your inventory (but not ones currently growing) so effectively resets your farming progress although with new upgrades to make it faster.
- Exotic Market: In World 7 the Exotic Market is unlocked from Spelunking at farming level 120 which provides another layer of farming upgrades along with bonuses to other game mechanics. This operates similar to the day market where you trade all of a specific crop type for a bonus with levels that increase based on the amount of crops and World 7 Legend Talents.
- Purchase one Instagrow: Instagrows are powerful gem shop purchase to progress farming faster after a bean trade and progress the slow medal crops. As they accumulate every single daily reset the sooner you purchase at least one instagrow the sooner you can gather instagrows for when they are needed.
- Focus Land Plots: Land plots are a significant boost to farming progress and are available from the Day Market and the Gem Shop.
- Lock Crops: Locking crops is an overlooked mechanic where you can lock a particular plot of land (or all of them) to stop evolutions which is the primary way to generate a particular crop on mass. Land plots can also be locked before anything is planted which is required to obtain the first crop type of each seed (e.g. an apple for basic).
- Max Bean Trade Strategy: As a bean trade does not impact your currently grown crops to maximise bean trading grow your highest possible seed and crop type and allow it to overgrowth for at least 24 hours. This must be done before completing a bean trade as after a bean trade you will have no crops to trigger your night market upgrades. With overgrowth accumulated complete a bean trade and then claim your land plots individually with a bean trade in between for a large bean boost.
- Faster Reset Strategy: If you can’t push the night market with beans significantly you can setup each of your land plots with a different crop before a bean trade instead. Claiming these plots after the bean trade provides an initial boost to your farming reset.
- Day Market Priority: The Day Market provides the following farming boosts for trading increasingly difficult and numbers of crops. The best Day Market priority upgrades in order are Land Plots > Stronger Vines > Product Doubler > More Beenz > Nutritious Soil > Biology Boost > Rank Boost > Smarter Seeds. Levelling each upgrade is still important though and a simple strategy to follow for simplicity is to level whichever day market needs the easiest crop to grow right now to progress.
