Idle Skilling Guide – Idle Skiller Trophy Idleon Crossover Event

Last Updated on July 22, 2026 by Samuel Franklin

This Idle Skilling guide is a walkthrough and checklist of goals to defeat Tee Hee 15 for the Idle Skiller Trophy from the Idleon crossover event on Steam. It includes detailed tips and strategies for every Idle Skilling game mechanic to optimise your progression and minimise time taken.

I recommend all dedicated Idleon players complete this challenge for the useful Idleon rewards from the original LavaFlame2 game. The Idle Skilling Trophy will take between 2-3 months of gameplay to unlock following this guide depending on your active vs idle game time with the minimum time being 43 days as there is a waiting period between reward claims.

Crossover Event Overview

All Idleon platforms can access the crossover event to earn Idleon rewards:

  • Download Idle Skilling on Steam (Idle Skilling mobile is not eligible)
  • Complete the initial Idle Skilling tutorial to access and click the Idleon button on the Train (Gym) screen
  • Input the name of your first Idleon Character (this is case sensitive but there is a reset option for mistakes).
  • After reaching the current milestone a numeric code on this Idle Skilling screen will appear which can be typed in Idleon chat at either the World 1 town or the Slip Slipy Ledges Keymaster location for the reward. These codes are account specific so your code will not work for other players.

idle-skilling-code

  • Idleon rewards include gems, the Funny Hat, Obols, Time Candy, arcade balls and the valuable Idle Skilling Trophy which is particularly strong once you reach World 7 for the Gallery which applies the trophy to all characters.

Idle Skilling Guide – General Tips

  • Active Gains: Similar to Idleon players earn additional progress from active gains, having a particular screen open (e.g. training or fighting) will give more gains compared to inactive screens. These away screen gains are only calculated when visiting screens which allows some min-max progress by changing card and crusader equipment setups first.
  • Ascension & Rebirth: These are two important account reset mechanics and are required to defeat Tee Hee 15 so don’t ignore these mechanics. While they may seem like a set back initially the powerful account buffs will allow you to progress significantly faster in the next run and push past major bottlenecks.
  • Secrets: There are various Idle Skilling secrets (wiki link) that unlock new mechanics and different account boosts.
  • Balance Gold Upgrades: While it is possible to min-max various Idle Skilling mechanics it is still highly efficient to balance gold costs across all mechanics. This significantly simplifies your decisions as you target upgrading everything to 10k, 50k, 100k and so on which ensures you don’t over invest in a single game mechanic.
  • Understand All Screens: The amount of Idle Skilling content can be overwhelming initially, take your time to understand the mechanics of each game screen and cycle through each of them eventually to ensure you aren’t missing upgrades. With the amount of buttons and upgrade types its easy to forget upgrades for game areas you don’t visit often and every mechanic is an important contributor.

Tee Hee 15 Checklist

This is a checklist of requirements to defeat Tee Hee 15 and claim the final crossover event reward. If you have been stuck for a long time use this checklist as your goal as these are the exact progression stage I had when defeating Tee Hee 15 which was 7 star damage. Don’t ignore the mechanics not listed here though as they will have boosts to help you reach this point which are detailed on this page.

Game Mechanic Key Milestone Notes
idle-skilling-train-iconTrain
  • H20 level 2,500+
  • Strength level 5,000+
Reaching these points requires high chain level chance from different game mechanics. If you can’t reach these points keep progressing and use ascension/rebirth to reset skill levels to leverage higher chain levels.
idle-skilling-perks-iconPerks
  • All maxed
  • Infinity perks at 2,000+ perk cost
Perk points are eventually abundant and the infinity tree has some key progression boosts.

All vending machine upgrades should be levelled so they cost the same as Wheat Chew level 110 (110 barn slots). The high realm levels buffs Nirvana to dramatically increase away gains.

idle-skilling-training

Training

Training is the first Idle Skilling screen and levels up your attack, strength and endurance to push fighting and unlock new areas. Unlock the attack dojo (attack), strength mountain (strength) and endurance fields (endurance) from the perks tree while the gym levels all of these stats based on the skiller. This will also be the first screen you are introduced to H20 which serves as your overall level and limits when you can purchase new skillers, miners and other mechanics.

There is limited strategy required to training just focus on the cheapest upgrade currently available across all of these areas, purchase new skillers when you can afford them and focus on a particular stat if that is holding back your progress. Place higher priority on strength for damage while maintaining enough attack to hit enemies and endurance as needed to survive.

Eventually you unlock training perks through Ascension and Rebirth that have a max level of 99 and should be prioritised in the order below. These reset each Ascension/Rebirth and can also be reset for free once each reset so can be tailored to your specific needs.

Tier Rating Perks Boosts
S Ore/Fish & Mining EXP – Rebirth Points – Tank RP Gain – Brew Speed
A Traces – Cash – Damage – Chain Level Chance – Brew Speed
B Damage/Accuracy – Damage/Accuracy
C Crop Gain – Crusader – Rift Level Up – Kills
D Health Per Endurance Level

Fighting

Fighting is the main benchmark of progression as you fight monsters to unlock new zones, monster cards for various buffs and earn gold which is used in nearly every game mechanic. When you aren’t pushing a zone your focus should be on earning gold or farming cards up to your daily max shown on the right hand side of the fight screen.

Use the stats page by pressing the half white circle in the top right corner of the fighting screen to see your approximate cash to find the highest gold return enemy which will be a few behind your current maximum. The Fighting screen also provides access to the Vault which is a 30 second damage challenge for high gold income and can be combined with Midas (activate in the last 10 seconds) for extra gold. Later in Oblivion you unlock the Crypt version which drops arcade balls, gems and other strong paid boosts.

Later in skill unlock progress cast Vision, Valor and Mark as these significantly boost fighting gains and work even when you leave the fighting window.

idle-skilling-perks

Perks

Perk points are earned through skill levelling and unlocked in a traditional perk tree fashion that requires previous perks to unlock higher tier ones which are also more point expensive. This is the order I recommend maxing each perk in the initial skill trees but they can be easily reset through Ascension or Rebirth.

Always purchase the first level upgrade of each perk tree when available as it unlocks useful game mechanics and is required to access other perks. I also recommend at least a single perk point in all attack skills as these are useful for quickly pushing, asylum bosses and crusader combat later. Eventually you’ll have an abundance of perk points so can just max everything and then purchase powers from the infinite perk tree based on your focus area as all of them are useful.

Perk Tree S Tier A Tier B Tier
Red Redperk6
Orange
Green
Blue
White
Yellow

Notes:

  • Orange: Forge charges are only useful until infinity forge after that this perk is useless.
  • Green: Fishing speed is capped at 0.2 in end game

idle-skilling-mining

Mining

One of the three resource skills that provides ore for powerful smithing crafts. Similar to training this is a straight forward screen where you want to purchase new miners when you can afford it and focus on mining ores required for current smithing crafts. As new ores are blocked by mining level sources of mining experience or initial levels are quite strong.

A common mistake for new players in mining is not clicking on the miners themselves to upgrade them with gold as the default view is the crystal slots which appear when clicking the actual mining node. To quickly swap between mining different ore types on all miners you can also click that ore type on the right hand side window.

idle-skilling-smithing

Smithing

A powerful crafting skill this provides damage, hp regeneration, cash, experience gain, HP, fishing power and crit damage. Craft everything to some degree in each smithing tier but prioritise damage and cash from enemies (not cash every minute). Smithing progress is slow initially until you obtain (or purchase) the gems required to unlock the incredibly valuable infinity forge for 200 gems.

Late game smithing is one of the most important skills as you can craft thousands and eventually millions of items to reach new heights due to smithing cost reduction through infinite perks and potions. Most items cap at 1000M but some cap lower, if you try to craft more items and the number doesn’t increase then you’ve reached the cap. In addition to all the damage craftable items the Enigmatic Booster crafted with Refractium (rainbow ore) is one of the most important smithing crafts for the final push to your Idleon trophy as it increases kills per hour dramatically.

idle-skilling-fishing

Fishing

Another straightforward but important resource skill that empowers smithing. Don’t forget to change the rod and hook as you unlock new ones and spend gold here alongside other gold based upgrades. Power, Power+ and Power++ are actually different upgrades so purchase each to maximise your gains as you push for the fishing speed cap of 0.2 seconds in end game.

Fishing is important for AP on reset and also the best option for resource bundle exchanges in the Afterlife Realm as its resource gain will outpace mining through many boosts spread across other game mechanics.

idle-skilling-ascension

Ascension

Ascension is required to complete Idle Skilling and is a mechanic that gives AP (Ascension Points) for different buffs in exchange for resetting your progress. Points are based on monster kills, training reps, ores mined, fish caught and total skill levels. Before ascending it is a good idea to stockpile various ore types as these are kept for a head start with smithing while you rebuild the number of miners and value/speed. Ascension perks are unlocked when you reach new regions or from keys for contracts.

I recommend ascending at the following key checkpoints:

  1. Desert: After you reach Desert the first time and gain some skill levels in the new skills (Limbo and Crusade). Invest in the blue perk tree to get the AP bonus perk. Invest all AP into the H20 Damage Boost and any spare points into the H20 Accuracy Boost.
  2. Mountains: Reaching the mountains unlocks a new set of upgrades that are all useful buffs that makes this the ideal second Ascension point. Prioritise gold, damage and monster kill count in that order which will help with your early account progress post Ascension. You should also have at least one green key by this point to Unlock Counterfeit Tickets for some priority points.
  3. The Mist: With new perks unlocked this is another clear checkpoint to Ascend with a focus on Weapon Savant and Idle Whirlwind with your new AP. This is also a good opportunity to attempt some ascension contracts for extra merits.
  4. Dungeon: While completing the dungeon itself doesn’t have new Ascension perks it does unlock the Rebirth mechanic that is similar but resets more game areas. With Purgatory requiring a massive leap in accuracy and damage you will need to do both at this stage to level H2O Accuracy Boost ascension perk. You should have unlocked the green research tank upgrade Balloon Wolf, have decent base skill levels from raids and have auto grasslands/desert progression unlocked at this stage so it is also a good time to do some quick repeated ascensions for AP Coupons as these will be useful later to gain massive AP without resetting.

From here on you should ascend when you can make a significant leap in AP perk upgrades, can’t afford any gold upgrades on different skills or can’t push smithing further. If you farm some coupons you can even just claim the AP without starting over and I recommend targeting specific upgrade levels such as upgrading all useful perks to 100,000 cost, 1million cost, 10 million cost etc.

The best ascension upgrades in order of priority are below, I also recommend purchasing the Training Perks and the extra H20 Tokens when relatively affordable. As each upgrade gets more expensive placing some points in all perks is important.

Ascension Perk (Tier) Effect
H20 Damage Boost (S) Every H2O level gives +0.5% more damage
Weapon Savant (S) Weapons give +5% more base damage
Idle Whirlwind (S) Idle attacks are +10% faster

idle-skilling-arcade

Arcade

The arcade will unlock once you reach the Desert and is a simple way to earn some free Idle Skilling gems and other basic account boosts. Claim the balls in the Gem Shop regularly and complete the task sets when possible as this gives extra balls per hour. You can also improve your gem gain slightly by only dropping balls when the cards reset (every 24hrs) as completing a hand gives gem bonuses.

Spend Gold Balls on the following priority order. As the cost increases with each purchase you can purchase the lower priority ones when their cost is small compared to the higher priority boosts:

  • AP
  • Cash
  • Damage
  • Crops
  • Kills
  • Rebirth

idle-skilling-mastery

Mastery

Mastery is accessed from the top right of the Portal screen and unlocks simple passive boosts to fighting, collecting and variety for completing various tasks in different game regions. These cannot be reset but you can obtain all of them and eventually level them multiple times once you complete a full colour so it is important to think longer term in your selections.

I recommend the following priority order for Idleon players going for the Idle Skilling Trophy (obtain all small circles on the way to these). Max the collect tree twice as the boosts are the foundation of Idle Skilling progress with the extra resource output, key gain and chain level chance. Then max the variety tree once and place the remaining points into the fight tree.

Mastery Tree Effect
Collect Faster Ticket and Key Gain
Collect Chain Level Chance
Collect AP Kept when Rebirthing
Variety Away Gains
Variety Cashback on Upgrades
Variety Levels Every 100 Levels
 Fight Total Damage
 Fight Dmg per Hatchery Level
Fight Cash

idle-skilling-spiriting

Spiriting

Unlocked in Limbo (blue perk tree and then visit the fishing screen) this is the first of several complicated Idle Skilling skills. Cultists on the left generate soul fragments (the small circles) while acolytes on the right have a chance to turn these fragments into a completed soul.

To keep Spiriting simple focus on the souls needed for summoning rifts and level all upgrade costs equally as it can be easy to forget about the value, speed and luck upgrades here. Once you can reliably make the purple and white essences swap all of your cultist and acolytes to a blend of colours with maximum upgrades and let this skill passively provide souls to level rifts.

idle-skilling-summoning

Summoning

Unlocked in Limbo Summoning has rifts where you can invest your souls from Spiriting to increase value and speed for passive gains. New rifts are unlocked by reaching Summoning levels and purchasing the new rift for souls.

Level rifts mostly evenly given the cost scaling but prioritise this order:

  • Rift
  • Power
  • Water
  • Mining
  • Mega AP
  • Attack Speed
  • Gold
  • Health

idle-skilling-contracts

Contracts

Be careful of the order you spend your merits as they are difficult early on but there are enough contracts available to unlock everything. Focus on completing contracts when they won’t take a significant amount of time as they slowly get easier to complete as you progress other mechanics.

I recommend this priority for different merit shops as it acquires the most important upgrades first. Generally you want to obtain the stats boosts that are difficult or not available elsewhere, enough keys for important ascension perks and some auto progression as this is a significant quality of after a reset as you can leave the game open to progress automatically.

  • Merit Shop 1: 1 Green Key (Unlock Counterfeit Tickets) > Raid Ticket Drop Chance (max) > Auto Progression (max) > 1 Green Key (Unlock Yellow Crystal) > Cultist & Acolyte Efficiency (bronze merits only initially)
  • Merit Shop 2: 1 Orange Key (Unlock Copper Hoarder) > Raid Gem Drop Chance (max) > 1 Orange Key (Unlock Cashback Guarantee) > Auto Progression (max) > 1 Orange Key (Unlock Star Card Rarity+) >  All Starting Levels (max)
  • Merit Shop 3: 1 Pink Key (Unlock Greedy Fish) > 1 Silver Key (Unlock Starting Levels)
  • Merit Shop 4: All Cyan Keys (Unlock Rebirth Perks)
  • Merit Shop 5: Double Asylum Keys (max) > Auto Progression (max)

idle-skilling-realm

Afterlife (Realm)

Afterlife did not exist in the initial release of Idle Skilling and is a huge buff to progression speed so should be a large focus of your time even though it can be confusing and slow at first. Overcome these challenges and afterlife has buffs such as doubling away gains for the rest of the game, lab bonuses, potion multipliers and chain levels. The wiki has a detailed guide on how to progress through the different game stages step by step so simply follow that after completing the initial trophy case tutorial within Idle Skilling itself.

Players start with a free 300 Crystal Eyes for the shop which I recommend spending on the Barn Egg as this provides a stronger early game start with larger barn size and it is always useful to hold additional pets as it takes a long time to reach the barn cap. If you want to spend money for extra purchases focus on Cash+ and Rare Shiny to speed up your progression but these aren’t necessary. The Tuna Can upgrade in the Afterlife vending machine is particularly strong as it gives a chance to retrigger away time when entering screens to potentially double your AFK game time. Keep in mind there is a small delay in this activating so on the fighting screen you can split the AFK time between two monsters if you quickly swap the active monster.

idle-skilling-raids

Raids

After your first ascension Raids will start to become viable where you can challenge raid bosses for some rare loot and trophies for permeant upgrades. Each boss has three difficulty (Normal/Chaotic/Nightmare) which cost more tickets with Nightmare having the best trophy for ticket rate. I recommend doing a small number of raids early on for some cheap trophy levels when your damage allows it but otherwise save your tickets until you unlock the chance for raid tickets and gems from Raids through the Contract mechanic.

Fight the strongest boss you can comfortably kill to focus on trophies initially as they are powerful account boosts. Once trophies become expensive you can start target farming specific cards as they are some of the strongest in the game (refer to the card section of this guide).

All trophy boosts in the gift shop are useful and given the increasing trophy cost with each purchase you will want to spread them across all options. Similar to other mechanics give some additional attention to everything strength, mining, smithing and fishing related as these are so important following Ascension.

idle-skilling-cards

Cards

Cards have small bonuses initially but once they are upgraded and additional card slots have been purchased with gems they are massive account contributors. It is possible to min-max heavily by having a large number of card deck presets and swapping each before interacting with a particular game screen or purchasing the deck linking option for gems.

For most of your progression equip cards that buff your current needs as you find them and eventually work towards these end game card setups for card drop and damage as they are the most impactful for our Idleon Trophy goal. If you want to min-max other mechanics I would prioritise ore/fish gains, potion double chance, potion cost reduction, potion brewing speed, botany growth speed and overgrowth for all flowers which are listed on the Idle Skilling wiki groups cards by bonus type for easy reference.

There are also a number of passive cards available from Asylum and Maelstrom on the wiki to target farm and level up as they provide powerful bonuses without needing a card slot although placing them in a card slot will double their effect.

Card Drop Chance:

Card Location Effect
Monkey Grasslands Card Drop
Dryic Relic Desert Card Drop
Keymaster Z The Mist Card Drop
The Cursed Purgatory Card Drop
Thimbulo Lunar Isle Card Drop

Damage

Card Location Effect
Occulon Y Asylum Base Damage
Demon X Raid Base Damage
King X Raid Trinket Damage
Gorshank X Asylum Trinket Damage
Bog Monster The Bog Idle Damage
Sentinel Y Raid Idle Damage
Demon Y Raid Total Damage
Emigdala Z Asylum Total Damage
King Y Raid Total Health
Scallius X Asylum Total Health

idle-skilling-pets

Pets / Trekking

Pets (hatchery) and Trekking are closely linked skills that empower Research and has a huge amount of depth. Ultimately the progress here is to unlock and upgrade Research which can be completed by following this simple strategy:

  • Unlock new pets by breeding your last unlocked pet in one of your nests. This pet can be combined with a pet of the same time or a previous high level pet as level also influences new pet levels. After unlocking the discovery genetic spoon pet combine your last unlocked pet with a high level discovery genetic pet instead.
  • Regularly upgrade your hatcheries with gold alongside other game mechanics (later upgrades use egg shells instead from trashing pets).

idle-skilling-trekking

In trekking focus on:

  • The highest level pets in damage and support slots
  • Circle genes in fighter slots (bottom) and square genes in support slots (top)
  • Target combos of 3, 6 and 9 when possible. Realistically 3 and 6 combos are easier and provide more than enough damage.
  • Push trekking as much as possible to unlock new trekking currency (vessel) types for research. Be careful on the trekking screen that Away Gains are enabled as this screen records your progress over 15 seconds before being active. If you can’t defeat the current enemy you can click on a previous enemy to fight them which is also useful if you want a particular vessel colour for research.

I recommend Fire Fist for your primary attack combo as it is available early and highly effective. For support start with Health for similar reasons and then progress into Loot and Discovery genes when unlocked for farming Vessels and Swiftness/Incubation for trekking progress. The end game builds all require rare pets so it is unlikely you will achieve this but they are included below if you get lucky.

idle-skilling-research

Research

A significant source of your account power as there are many damage bonuses here research relies on trekking progress to unlock which can then be invested into different research tanks. Turn tanks on and off to focus your RP investment into tanks that buff hatchery/vessel mechanics first and then any RP gain boosts. From there you can invest in the remaining bonuses as there are not many weak bonuses in research so you can target where you feel you are lacking, this is also important to unlock third bonuses as it requires level 150 in second bonuses for that tank. Always prioritise the first bonus initially, then the second and then third as this maximises the chain level upward chance.

A common mistake in Research is activating the RP on tanks too early as when you choose to invest RP it replaces the previous value so you want to target larger jumps in values. For example going from 50 to 100 rather than 50 to 55 is a better goal and another reason to target where RP is diverted by changing the valves.

There are also passive pet bonuses here that can be easily overlooked and can slowly be levelled up for small increases to different game bonuses. As they are small just work through your codex levelling up the ones that are useful like fight damage, fish caught, ap gained, ores mined, various EXP gains etc.

Reaching Research level 250 is a critical goal to unlock all tanks and this is mandatory to defeat Tee Hee 15 which requires strong trekking progress for the lab upgrades and using the chain level chance to push tanks to high levels.

idle-skilling-crusades

Crusading/Tinkering/Boosters

Crusading is ultimately a damage and attack skill check for your account so will slowly progress alongside your general progression. Focus the majority of your crusaders on the most recently unlocked boss to focus on levels and then swap your crusaders to the resources you need to rapidly accumulate them.

Focus all of your equipment on buffing Crusading initially to make additional progress and then swap equipment to your current account focus as most of the equipment pieces have a use outside of the Crusading. This will generally be the mining and fishing boosts during the mid game and then late game will be entirely damage focused to complete the Dairy Aisle and Tee Hee goals. Don’t forget to use boosters and mutators when you can afford them as you’ll have to craft lots of equipment and boosters to reach higher skill levels.

idle-skilling-tinkering

Gems

The best sources of free gems in Idle Skilling are:

  • Hoops mini game (secret unlock refer to the wiki)
  • Arcade (unlocked after reaching the Desert)
  • Raids/Asylum (after purchasing gem drop upgrades from the contract shop)
  • First 3 rebirths (150/100/50 gems)
  • Reach Level 7 Spelunking (75 Gems)
  • Gem Vault (Unlocked after beating Purgatory)

I recommend these gem shop purchases, the first three should be purchased in order and then consider your own account preferences and needs.

Gem Shop (Cost) Bonus Notes
Infinity Forge (200) Buy this once and you’ll never run out of Forge uses again

Also doubles all future smithing EXP

This removes the waiting time for Forge that makes Ascension and Rebirth significantly easier.
Gem Portal (500) Gives you 150 Gems every day for 10 days

That is a total of 1500 Gems

A return on investment this is an easy decision.
Extra Card Slots (100) Opens up another slot for you to put Cards into Cards have many use cases so you can equip more.
Shiny Vat (675) Unlocks the Shiny Lab Vat which gives:

2x RP Gain Bonus
+50% 2x LV chance
+100% research EXP for all tanks

Shiny Vat can be upgraded even more with Gems

Research is an important account contributor which this provides notable improvement for. I don’t recommend upgrading it after the initial purchase.
Sentinel Canary (350) Each bird gives one Spelunker:

4x Learning Rate
Double Absorb Powers (You can Absorb twice instead of just once)

A gem shop item where one or two purchases will significantly increase skill progression by creating some strong learning Spelunkers.
Shop_desolatorDesolator Spelunker (375) These Spelunkers have:

5x Speed
4x Dig Down amount
+2 additional Treasure Bags every extraction

One of these is a significant increase in Spelunking progression with extra bags and speed which is critical to unlocking new crop and flower types in construction.
Shop_iodized_builderIodized Builder (325) These Builders have:

3x Building Speed
+10% speed every Construction level instead of +2%

One of these is also basically mandatory as the building times in Spelunking will be multiple days otherwise. These buildings are important as they have a number of critical end game bonuses like new potions.
Golden Nest (375) Golden Nests have:

4x faster hatching speed
3x chance to create rarer eggs
3x bonus to hatching new Pets

One golden nest is critical to unlocking new pets for progression.
Arcane Carpet (525) Used by support Pets

The genetics of the pet on this carpet have 2x the effect and count for 2 in Trekking combos

Useful for trekking to buff the key support genetics that feed into research progression. Don’t purchase this until you have at least one strong support pet with two genes.
Eternal Cauldron (175) Eternal Cauldrons brew Potions 4x as fast and also have +50% chance to triple lvl up a potion when brewing Similar to the golden nest having one powerful cauldron will help potion progression significantly.
Mystical Tiller (150) Mystical Tillers work 2x as fast
Harvest 2x the crops
And give a +25% crop bonus to all other Tillers
Purchase at least one tiller to help overcome the early game slow farming progression and add more based on preferences.
Crystal Slots (250) Unlocks all 3 slots for one thing

Choose between Cauldron or Rock (Cauldron or Mining)

Focus on Cauldron purchases and purchase as your crystal collection grows from the above gem shop purchase.
Crystals (Supreme & Premium Gems) (275/175) Supreme gives 1 Pink & Black crystal while Premium gives 1 Green and 1 orange Crystal Crystals are strong contributors once your Idle Skilling account is progressed. Purchase at least one of each to have options
2x AP (100) Permanently gain twice as much AP every ascension

Each additional purchase gives +100% more AP

Lowers the number of ascensions required which can save time.
2x BP (350) Permanently gain twice as much BP

Each additional purchase gives +100% more BP

Similar to the AP purchase this means less rebirths are required to progress.
Card Decks (150) & Links (100) 1 additional deck to switch between and link to different screens Significant quality of life can purchase after you have all card slots and a strong collection of cards.

Asylum

The Asylum is the advanced version of raids where tougher boss fights are available for new cards and account buffs. Similar to raids fight the hardest difficulty possible while balancing which bosses you fight for their traces as nearly all the shop upgrades are powerful here. Use the bell and the Mark attack skill to increase trace drops if you have the necessary damage to do so.

The only lower priority shrine upgrades are the Gorshank The Power and Brewery as these are weak in comparison to the other options otherwise you can balance the other upgrades if you have the skilling traces available. One particular upgrade of note is Eviscerate in the Scallius shrine that makes resets faster as kills affect the next monsters and pairs with a similar research upgrade to make resets faster.

After finishing the Desert players unlock Tilling which is the foundation of another three game skills and the next power jump for your account. Tilling is similar to mining although has some extra strategy to consider as you can have different tiller types with their own bonuses to different crop types.

To keep your strategy simple upgrade all the gold cost upgrades evenly and use the highest unlock tiller type at all times as this has the largest impact on actual crop gain. Don’t forget to upgrade the soil patches themselves which costs dirt and a crop type.

idle-skilling-botany

Botany

Botany is a passive skill that provides various plants to craft potions through apothecary and also a place to spend any dirt that you gain from Tilling. Try to unlock new plants by growing your last unlocked plant in your first pot which is the cheapest to upgrade as this unlocks more potions while upgrading all of your pot slots equally.

I recommend adding 1k dirt and 1 of the previous plants to all botany growths after the initial slow start as this is easy to sustain and nearly doubles botany output. As your dirt output grows you can slowly increase this to 1 million and then 1 billion of each but there are diminishing returns to the boost.

idle-skilling-apothecary

Apothecary

One of the major power mechanics with countless bonuses across the entire game and the reason why you want to push Tilling. When first unlocked your low botany output will limit how many potion levels you can obtain so focus on potion discovery initially. As potion discovery has luck involved refer to the wiki for the best combinations. Once a potion is discovered you can increase its level to improve the power of its buff. While nearly potions are powerful and can be levelled up equally prioritise anything that buffs Tilling, Farming and Apothecary first as this makes future potion levels easier then you can target damage, cash and other resource (mining/fishing) gains. As your farming output and potion reduction sources increase repeat this cycle as previously expensive and slow potion levels will become cheap and fast.

There are 3 Cosmic rarity potions (Cygnus, Serpenzu and Ophiucus) that you should not level until all other potions are a high level (400+) as levelling these adds free levels to other options so should be saved until normal potion levelling is difficult.

idle-skilling-rebirth

Rebirth

Unlocked once you reach the dungeon Rebirth follows a similar gameplay loop to Ascension with its own set of perks and formula to determine the amount of BP earned. This resets everything that Ascension does but removes any stockpiled ore/fish and resets your farming progression (not potions). As one of these factors is AP I recommend to do an Ascension (or use a coupon if available), save around half the AP and then make a Rebirth. Most of your Rebirths will be completed while completing the Dairy Aisle challenges as these are critical to beating the game for the bonuses they unlock.

It can be tempting to rush a Rebirth for the 150 gem bonus which is a reasonable strategy for an active orientated player that doesn’t mind repeating progression. For a passive idle focused player you can hold this Rebirth until you push significantly further and even up to Oblivion as potions and research can get you there. Regardless of your choice always push potions as far as possible before a Rebirth as they are not reset and significant account contributors.

Rebirth perks are generally stronger, unlocked in three linear pathways and you’ll have significantly more game knowledge when you reach this point so you can target the account areas you feel lacking in as everything is good here and will be eventually maxed. Some immediate rebirth perk priorities of note are:

  • Backdoor Bog (this doubles BP in future Rebirths but Rebirth is restricted to reaching the Bog)
  • Training Perks (adds new training perks with the first 6 being particularly strong with crop gain, brew speed, BP on rebirth and tank RP gain)
  • Skull Crusher (an increase to kills to reset faster and push enemies with increasingly high kill requirements)
  • Smithing & Contracts (there are various of these in the tree which unlock new bonuses in both skills)
  • Wasn’t aiming for ya (provides a toggle that turns critical chance over 100% into a large damage boost)
  • Oresome Fishtastic (a solid boost to the base resource skills)

After maxing all rebirth perks you can unlock two infinite perks by completing an ice cream delivery in the Dairy Aisle for extra damage and pet progression.

idle-skilling-spelunking

Spelunking

A tunnelling skill that is another slow starter and is used to empower construction where there are several end game focused upgrades to all the previously unlocked skills. Most notably new crops, flowers, potions and crafts along with some Afterlife boosts to push that mechanic even further.

The strategy for Spelunking is to focus on learning during long periods of AFK to buff your spelunkers with your initial priority being Big Brained (wait for level 3) for the learning rate buff. Eventually when it is not a huge time investment you can target the level 9 learning buff (Galaxy Brained) that buffs learn rates for all spelunkers.

When actively playing Idle Skilling focus on short jumps of a few seconds with your first spelunker which are actually the most effective in terms of loot. Combine this with levelling up Value and Speed on your first spelunker while unlocking new spelunkers when possible as this gives you extra learners. You don’t need to level up your learning spelunkers as your first spelunker will be your primary treasure hunter while the others can be basically always in learning mode and value/speed/dig upgrades do not impact learning rate.

idle-skilling-construction

Construction

Construction uses treasures and your builders for new unlocks and each is important to push your account further. If you are struggling with the final push to TeeHee 15 its likely you haven’t unlocked everything that is available here, level everything at least once so you can access all upgrades and then focus on the potions and damage upgrades.

Follow the domains as you unlock access to each from finding the appropriate treasures. The priority of building upgrades will be determined by what you can harvest from spelunking so your progress is quite structured but always prioritise something that buffs construction or spelunking first.

Players often overlook that you can upgrade your builder build rate and the machine rate. You can use the machine to turn rarer treasure into lower tier ones once you cannot naturally obtain them from digging.

Crystals

Crystals are a late game optimisation for mining and cauldrons in Apothecary and can be purchased with AP or BP or gems. They are a lower priority than building up a foundation of the respective AP/BP perks first and should be a focus area after perks become expensive. These builds assume no gem purchases given they are lower on the priority list so most players going for the Idle Skilling trophy won’t purchase them:

Build Crystals
Mining (Ore Gain) All Purple
Mining (EXP Gain) All Yellow
Apothecary (Brew Speed) All Red
Apothecary (EXP Gain) All Yellow
Apothecary (Double Brew) Blue First Cauldron, remaining red
Apothecary (Cost Reduction) Purple first cauldron, remaining red
