World 2 obols provide small combat or skilling boosts to characters. This guide includes information on how to unlock obols, where to farm specific obols and the best obols to use in different scenarios.
For new players I recommend placing any obol you find in the family tab initially and then placing any stat or skill obol relevant to a character. As you progress I recommend a full drop rate obol setup on every character and the family tab as this has broad effectiveness and significantly reduces the time to farm obols.

Obol Basics – How To Unlock & Obol Slots
Unlocking Obols
Players can unlock obols by purchasing a BobJoePickle from the World 2 shop and using it to scare the cat sitting on the Obol Altar near the World 3 portal. To start dropping obols though purchase the W2 merit shop upgrade first.
Unlocking Obol Slots
Obol slots unlock automatically at different character or account levels. The final personal obol slot is unlocked at class level 250 while the family obol requires 5,000 combined account level.
Personal and Family Obols
The personal obol tab is unique to each character and any obols placed here only provide their stats to that specific character. While the family obol tab applies to all of your characters and the ideal initial obol focus area. The total stats provided by each tab can be seen on the totals bonus screen of the obol UI.
Obol Drop Sources
Obols drop from various sources including resource nodes and monsters (active and AFK) but there is a one obol max drop per AFK session regardless if it is 1 hour or 100 hours long.
Obol Reroll & Combine (Upgrades)
The upgrades section of the obol UI allows players to reroll the stats of obols or combine two identical obols into a greater rarity obol. Both of these actions require obol fragments that can be obtained by destroying obols on this screen or from the World 2 Arcade rewards.
Rerolling is used to increase the misc bonus stats on obols (such as drop rate) by 1 while upgrading is the only way to acquire the highest tier obol types. When rerolling the stats of the obol on the left are used as a reference point.
Obol Best Build – Drop Rate
While there are many obol types available the boosts from obols are relatively small and it can be a significant time investment to farm different obol builds. Therefore I recommend players use drop rate obols for all family and personal slots to simplify this game mechanic.
When to farm these drop rate obols will depend on your current drop rate and other account priorities but complete the family tab first and then fill in personal slots when it is relatively easy. This will be around World 4 when the Elemental Sorcerer and Divine Knight classes are available with a viable crystal monster farming build with the Laboratory Chocolatey Chip.

Obtain bronze from Gigafrog then reroll for +1% drop rate (3%), place this obol on the left of the combine window and combine with a non re-rolled bronze on the right. This will result in a silver obol with 4% drop rate and costs less to reroll as bronze rerolls are cheaper.
The best way to farm these obols is with an active Elemental Sorcerer. |

Obol Skilling Builds
The only alternative to drop rate obols I recommend is skilling obol sets (mining, chopping, fishing, catching, trapping and worship) which do improve your skilling efficiency although for most players the benefit is small compared to the time taken to farm a complete set. Most of these obols are also only available through the Alchemy Shop for liquid which is better spent on alchemy upgrades.
For min-max dedicated players though below is where to obtain the respective skilling circle obols that can be upgraded into silver circles and gold squares as necessary.
