Tempest Form/Damage Build
This damage talent build is for Tempest Form or experience farming. The priority is to maximise Dust gain and area effect attacks to rapidly clear monsters.

| Talent | Effect | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Some Commandments |
Uwu Rawrrr lasts longer, chance to double summon Boars & Nachos and faster Whale cooldown | Buffs your primary respawn talent and map clearing abilities dramatically. |
Compass |
Opens the Tempest Form upgrade window and passively boots Dust found | The largest Dust boost available through talents this is an important second talent priority to improve your progress through the Compass upgrades. |
Eternal Hunt |
Spawns a Spirit Reindeer and temporarily boosts Dust found | Another Dust boosting talent to progress Tempest upgrades faster and spawns a group of enemies when you defeat the Spirit Reindeer for extra gains. |
Spirit Ballista |
Ballista now shoots 3 arrows and has faster cooldown. Also shoot a ballista arrow every basic attack | Another important map clearing ability with the large cooldown reduction and additional arrows. |
Elemental Mayhem |
Increases Tempest elemental damage and MultiShoot chance per 100 Compass upgrades | The MultiShoot can be useful although most kills come from our talents so the main benefit here is the elemental damage for abomination hunting and W5 onwards damage. |
Pumpin’ Power |
Increase Tempest Critical Hit chance per 25 breedability level | Extra damage output through critical chance although scales slowly and requires time investment in breedability levels. |
Tempest Form |
Enter/Exit Tempest Form and increases Tempest Damage | Adds extra damage while in Tempest Form to continue pushing into harder maps. |
Windborne |
Increase Tempest Defence and Accuracy per 100 Compass upgrades | Provides extra defence and accuracy for harder maps and if accuracy is a current roadblock invest here before Tempest Form above. |
Tempest Form Tips
Use these general Tempest Form tips to optimise your Wind Walker:
- Remove Prayers: Remove any % HP increasing prayers (Midas Minded or Jawbreaker) as enemies health will scale in Tempest Form and make progress difficult.
- Tempest Equipment: Special Tempest Form bows and rings drop from enemies for damage and Dust gains. Your other equipment slots, food, cards and star signs should focus on drop rate as there is a Compass upgrade (The Luck Factor) that increases Tempest item drops/medallions based on your normal drop rate.
- 10% Upgrade Stones: Always upgrade Tempest Form equipment with 10% upgrade stones. While they have the lowest success chance they have the best expected value overall and equipment can be easily farmed for lots of attempts. There is a Compass upgrade you will eventually unlock that lets you use 500 stones to guarantee a success chance with these stones which allows you to make a powerful bow but don’t do this until at least World 5.
- Max Dust Setup: For Dust farming the best equipment is a Tempest Bow of Dust (Wood Boards, Poops, Frost Flake, Mammoths, Suggma and Crawlers), 1 Tempest Ring of Gold (Bop Box and Biggole Wurm) and 1 Tempest Ring of Power (Purple Mushroom) as this helps maximise Eternal Hunt deer kills. Prior to World 4 you can use double Dust rings and in World 6 replace the Ring of Power with an appropriate elemental ring as your elemental multiplier will be stronger from talents and compass upgrades.
- Abomination Hunting Setup: For abomination kills the best equipment is a bow of their elemental weakness and 2 Tempest Ring of Power (Purple Mushroom).
- Voidwalker Boost: Ensure your Voidwalker has at least 150 talent points in the Enhancement Eclipse talent as this buffs your Wind Walker whale attack and progresses World 4 breeding skill at the same time.
- Compass Overview: The Compass upgrade system has 4 main paths. The Elemental Path (buffs equipment and Medallions), Fighter Path (damage and accuracy), Nomadic Path (account upgrades) and Survival Path (health/defence and Dust gain).
- Early Dust Bonuses: There are six early unlocked Dust upgrades in the Survival path that are a priority to unlock and upgrade with the last one unlocked at Survival Path level 16. Other Dust bonuses include the Abomination Slayer IX for defeating the Sand Castle, a Pristine charm and a golden ball arcade bonus.
- Account Boosts: The Wind Walker unlocks exalted stamp upgrades to double stamp bonuses, boosts sneaking significantly, increased 3D Printer sample growth rate, boosts trapping critter gains and increases max atom upgrade levels in the Compass.
Tempest Form World Progression Guide
This section optimises your progression speed in Tempest Form where your primary goal is to reach the higher worlds as Dust gain significantly increases to unlock expensive Compass upgrades.
World 1
- Progress through each map focusing on obtaining minimum accuracy required, enough health to survive and then damage.
- Farm multiple Tempest Bow of Dust from Wood Boards or Poops with decent weapon power (~30+) and extra dust (~35+). Speed is less important for Dust farming as monster kills are primarily from talents.
- Upgrade these bows until at least one 10% upgrade stone works. You can farm better bows in World 3 so this weapon just needs to be powerful enough to make it there.
- Kill enough abominations to unlock World 2 only for now, the counter will show above the portal to the next world.
World 2
- Spend Dust on the minimum accuracy and health requirements again while adding damage as necessary to one hit monsters and defeat abominations. You should have Dust upgrade nodes in the Compass now from the Survival Path to focus on.
- Tysons can be farmed for Tempest Ring of Punchies to help kill abominations, focus on having two rings where a 10% upgrade stone is successful.
- Farm Tysons and Snelbie for Dusts to push damage stats high enough to kill enough abominations between World 1 and World 2 to unlock World 3.
World 3
- World 3 will start to slow down progress but push into World 4 with the same Dust investment strategy from previous worlds. Don’t neglect cheap upgrades though as Elemental Mayhem and Windborne talents scale with total upgrades.
- Farm a higher weapon power Dust bow from Frost Flake and Mamooth and try get at least two 10% upgrade stones to work.
- Unlock maps up to Bop Box (you can skip killing abominations on the way) to farm two Tempest Ring of Gold (Dust gain) with at least one successful 10% upgrade stone.
- Farm at least 100k Solardust from Bop Box for Solardust Hoarding in the Compass Survival tree.
- Do not unlock the Neyeptune, Dedotated Ram or Bloodbone map these are not required yet and are Dust expensive.
- Element damage starts to become important in World 3 for abominations who are weak to grass in this world. Farm a grass bow from Mimics or Bloque and upgrade with at least two 10% success stones.
- After obtaining enough Dust upgrades (Sheepie and Bloque have good Dust rates) in the Compass and the weapons noted above kill the abominations across World 3, 2 and 1 (excluding Neyeptune and Bloodbone) to unlock world 4. There is a World 2 abomination in the Deepwater Docks that you may have missed.
- If you are still struggling for damage at this point go to World 1 and World 2 to farm monster Medallions as these boost damage with the Elemental Path upgrade Medallion Magnate. These do not auto loot and must be manually picked up.
World 4
- World 4 is a huge leap in Dust gains, push as many maps as you can while ignoring abominations for now.
- To maximise Dust gain in this world and beyond experiment with your AFK info screen using combinations of rings from Dust boosting to tempest damage or the element that matches the monsters weakness. Damage starts to play an important role for Dust gain in World 4 as it means you can hunt more deers in Eternal Hunt to extend Dust gain.
- Dust Compass upgrades should still focus on damage and Dust gain but your secondary goal is to unlock Stone Failsafe located in the Elemental Path (upgrade 17) of the Compass as this gives you a chance to not consume weapon or ring slots when failing upgrade stones and can make it easier to create decent equipment.
- After maxing this Compass upgrade you can start farming the necessary Tempest Bow of Wind (from Soda Can) which is the World 4 weakness to push into World 5. You will need a high weapon power bow with at least 3 successful 10% upgrade stones and 3 successes on a Tempest Ring of Power (from Purple Mushroom) to kill abominations.
- Compass level upgrades (Flying Wurm and Clammie have good Dust rates), Wind Walker talent point levels, how long you can AFK for and luck with upgrade stones will determine how quickly you can progress to World 5. PC players may be able to AFK for long periods of time to kill abominations (24hrs+).
World 5 & 6
- Once in World 5 you can now farm a strong base weapon power Dust bow from Crawlers (78-80) and use 2,500 10% stones to max out its stats with the Compass upgrade that guarantees success for 500 stones. Given the stone investment required you can also try maximise the base Dust gain and the attack speed although weapon power is the most critical stat.
- Once you reach World 5 farm as much Dust as you desire for the Compass upgrades noted above in the benefits section or repeat the process to push into World 6 for higher Dust gains by obtaining a strong bow and ring in every element.
Tempest Form Dust/Equipment Farming Locations
Below are the best farming spots for Dust in each world. If you have not unlocked the below map then farm the furthest map you have unlocked so far with that Dust type. Novadust (unlocked in the Survival Compass Path) is a fifth Dust type that drops from all enemies during active play.
| Dust Type | World 2 | World 3 | World 4 | World 5 | World 6 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|

N/A | N/A | N/A | Tremor Wurm |
Skydoggie Spirit |
These are the best locations to farm specific bows, always farm on the highest world unlocked as base weapon power scales with enemy health. Using the appropriate elemental bow for an abomination weakness is critical to maximising damage in these hunts from World 3 onwards while a strong Dust bow is critical for Dust farming.

As rings do not scale with enemy health these can be farmed from anywhere and are relatively simple as only two rings types are important (Dust and Power) for the majority of progression. Use Dust rings when farming Dust and Rings of Power when abomination slaying:
- Tempest Ring of Gold (Extra Dust): Bop Box (W3) & Biggole Wurm (W4)
- Tempest Ring of Power (Extra Weapon Power & Tempest Damage): Purple Mushroom (W4)
In World 5 and 6 onwards if you need a damage boost combine an elemental ring with a Ring of Power for extra elemental damage and your highest weapon bow of either that same element or your Dust bow.
Sneaking Build
The Wind Walker has a number of sneaking buffs through the Tempest Form Compass and their talent points. The below talent build can either be used while AFK fighting as most of your talents are Tempest Form focused or while AFK skilling places like Lab or Divinity to optimise sneaking further. For those with min-maxing in mind you can also activate it before checking the Sneaking window.
| Talent | Effect | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Generational Gemstones |
Adds 2 new Sneaking gemstones and boosts all gemstone bonuses | Unlocks gemstones that reduce Ninja Knowledge upgrade costs and max level charms to help you push further in your Sneaking skill. |
Price Recession |
All Ninja Knowledge upgrades are cheaper per 10 total upgrades | Swap to your talent build with this maxed before spending any Jade as you will be able to purchase more upgrades. |
Sneaky Skilling |
Increases Sneaking EXP of all ninjas | A large combination of additive and multiplicative Sneaking EXP to propel your skill levels rapidly which increases ninja Sneaking power. |
