28 Games Like Prison Architect

Games Like Prison ArchitectOur compilation of games like Prison Architect features other games that blend construction and management together in a variety of game settings.

Drawing inspiration from the many classic management games before it Prison Architect was a crowdfunded effort developed by Introversion Software. From idea to final launch took nearly 3 years with the end result being a high quality game based on players building and managing their own private high security prison.

With a bird’s eye view of the prison players can design their ideal prison environment. From creating an adequate number of cells to ensuring basic facilities are available the game has plenty of building elements for players to customise the look and feel of their prison. This depth also extends to the management aspect of the game where players will need to hire the appropriate staff (warden, workers and guards for example) while staying within the financial constraints they find themselves in. With both story modes and a prison escape mode there is plenty of gameplay to be immersed in.

The games like Prison Architect collected on this page include some of the original classic management games of which Prison Architect is based on. It also includes other modern takes on the building and management genre that take place in unique settings and offer you all the tools to create the world around you.
