7 Games Like Subnautica

Games like Subnautica Our curated collection of games like Subnautica has other survival adventure games with open world environments where you'll collect raw materials and craft tools to help you survive underwater, on harsh lands or in space.

Starting as an Early Access title in late 2014 Subnautica is an open world first person adventure that has players crash landing their spaceship the Aurora in the ocean of the alien planet known as 4546B. Eventually expanding to console platforms and expanding the series with new games each Subnautica adventure is focused on hardcore survival through resource gathering and crafting.

Similar to other games in the genre Subnautica revolves around players harvesting resources, creating tools and establishing a base of operations to survive the wildlife that comes in friendly and enemy variants. Ultimately your goal is to complete a series of tasks that allow you to move through the story and provide a framework to your progression. In the core survival mode players need to manage their hunger, hydration and oxygen while achieving these tasks although a creative mode removes this overhead for those players that want to creatively challenge themselves.

The games like Subnautica selected below all offer a similar adventure that has you focused on survival or creativity in a diverse list of underwater, land or galactic setting.
