Krafteers Tomb Defenders has you collecting resources in a strange world to craft weapons and eventually your own fortress in order to defend yourself.

Krafteers Tomb Defenders was developed by Deonn Games and is available for free on your Android device. However, an in game purchase is required to unlock all game items and remove the 2 player restriction on multiplayer. The game has been generally well received from Android users holding a star rating of over 4 stars from thousands of ratings.

The game puts you in the shoes of a survivor on a lonely island. You’ll have to learn how to survive in the environment by finding food and water while also developing tools and weapons. Krafteers has plenty of gameplay depth to explore which allows you to create your own strategy and approach to the game.

In Krafteers you’ll spawn on a randomly generated island, meaning every game you play is entirely different. Once spawned you are tasked with collecting supplies to build a fortress and defend yourself from attacks. Since each island is randomly generated you will often have to adapt your strategy based on the resources you have available. You can also team up with a friend to tackle this adventure with a 2 person limit on the free version by setting up your own game.

The controls in Krafteers add to an already pleasant experience by being simple and well-designed. Most of your interaction with the game world is done by tapping and the few menus that are present have clearly been designed with smaller devices in mind.

Krafteers has good gameplay variety and the ability to play randomly generated levels with friends is particularly fun and one of the biggest attractions to the game.

Summary:

  • Collect resources, build tools and defend yourself.
  • Connect with other players easily.
  • Free to play with a purchase unlocking additional (but not neccessary) content.
  • Available for Android devices and well-optimised for smaller devices.
  • Fun mixture of genres.
