The Sims Pet Stories

  • System requirements – Pets – Fun stories
  • Nothing new

The Sims Pet Stories is the second release in the laptop optimised spin off series of The Sims known as Sims Stories. As the name suggests the game has a focus on looking after pets so has obvious appeal to animal lovers.

Gameplay in The Sims Pet Stories revolves around managing your family, looking after pets and going out. Everything you love from the main series is there with players having lots of customisation options and plenty of needs and wants to manage.

The games inspiration clearly comes from The Sims 2: Pets but adds two stories into the gameplay for players to experience while also drastically cutting down the system requirements. Just like other games in The Sims Stories series players also have access to a free play mode which is made for players wanting more choice over their pets and how they advance through the game.

The first story follows the story of Alice who is on the verge of losing her house and decides to enter her Dalmatian into dog shows in an attempt to save her house. This story definitely focuses on the pet aspects of the game with players spending lots of time training their pet and spoiling them.

The second story shifts the focus towards going out and finding a date as players take on the role of Stephen. Stephen is a successful chef who has an obnoxious cat come in and mess with his lifestyle.

There is plenty to love in The Sims Pets Stories especially if you are an animal lover. The game features over 100 dog and cat species to fall in love with. This large number of species is paired with an even greater number of items and pet show objects to spoil your pets with.

  • A pet focused life simulation experience.
  • Over 100 species to choose from.
  • Runs on laptop systems with ease.
  • Two very different stories to complete.
  • Free mode that lets you create your own story.
