Star Conflict is a MMO experience that lets you to take control of your own starship and explore the vast depths of space. The game is published by Gaijin Entertainment and is free to play after downloading the client onto your computer.

The game features beautiful 3D graphics with an emphasis on large scale PvP battles. Players can choose from a variety of ship types to use each with their own feel and purpose in the game world. While non combat ships do exist most players will find it hard to resist the vast array of weapons that include some truly mindboggling large scale weaponry.

After you’ve created your account and loaded up the client you’ll be pleased to hear that there is no long tutorial here thanks to the intuitive controls that are very easy to learn but still provide enough room for players to grow in skill and give it some power over the result in PvP.

Star Conflict of course offers a number of factions with their own back story, goals and bonuses to give you a sense of purpose in the vast game world. These bonuses include improved shield regeneration, better speed, increased experience, tougher hulls, improved damage and more.

Choosing a single faction doesn’t close the door on others though with players able to take on contracts (quests) from other factions. These contracts ultimately increase your reputation with these factions and open up additional gameplay options.

If quests aren’t interesting enough for you then you can test yourself in the PvP modes or go on a co-op mission with some friends. Regardless of how you approach the game though you’ll gradually build experience and credits to spend on your skill tree and ship upgrades.

In terms of space simulation games you’ll find Star Conflict has it all and is packed full on content that only continues to expand, like the universe itself.

Summary:

  • Join a variety of factions and complete contracts for reputation.
  • Take part in PvP combat to earn credits and upgrade your ship.
  • Co-operative missions also available.
  • Fast paced combat combined with amazing visuals.
  • Easy to learn gameplay and controls which means no lengthy tutorial.

  1. There is NO open world that you can explore. You can only do PvP matches, these take place in areas in space. There is no time to do any exploring. The game is also P2W.

  2. I don’t know what people talk about but after the last patch there is a world to explore and actually its like EVE Online with gates, asteroids and many other objects you also have PvP skirmish and PvE. What really stand up in this game is when you play with Oculus DK2, its just amazing, no not amazing, its mind blowing, this has to be the best game when playing using DK2, waiting for EVE Valkyrie Try this instead:) Highly recommended
