Virtual Families 2: Our Dream House

Last Updated on by Samuel Franklin

  • Heaps of new content – Lots of depth – House customisation
  • Not enough new core features to separate it from first game

Virtual Families 2: Our Dream House is a continuation of the Virtual Families series of life simulation games developed by Last Day of Work. The game encourages you to live out your dream life in your computer as you adopt a  tiny person and their family.

Virtual Families 2 is available on PC, Mac, iOS and Android. Just like the first Virtual Families you can grab a free one hour trial from the website before making a purchase. The smartphone versions of the game are available for free though and supported with in app purchases.

If you were a fan of the original game you’ll love the huge list of additions that Our Dream House brings to the table. The core elements of the game are still there with the option to choose your own little person, help them to find a soul mate and pursue a career.

Just like real life the challenges in Virtual Families 2 are endless and the entire adventure does feel like you’re part of a real experience. You’ll have to save money for house upgrades, battle illness, go shopping, try to maintain your career and balance all this with trying to enjoy life.

New elements in Virtual Families 2 include a pet system that lets you adopt a perfect pet for your family, the ability to renovate your house, options to customise room layouts, a new upgrade system that lets your little people advance further, new random events and much more.

There is no doubt that fans of the original will love the extra depth that the game offers, it’s also perfect for first time players though with no reason to play the original first considering how many improvements the second game has. The fact that you can get the game for free for your smartphone (iOS and Android) only sweetens the deal.

  • Continues the Virtual Families adventure.
  • Adopt a tiny person and control their life.
  • Build a family, a career and a home.
  • Runs in real time.
  • Free for iOS/Android. Trial available for PC/Mac.
